Re: Thanksgiving Vegetable and dessert recipes
I've made pumpkin cheesecake but I don't know if that would be considered quick and easy
2 Make the crust by combining the graham cracker crumbs with the melted butter and 1 T sugar in a medium bowl.
3 Stir well enough to coat all of the crumbs with the butter, but not so much as to turn the mixture into paste.
4 Keep it crumbly.
5 Put foil partway up the outside part of an 8-inch springform pan.
6 Press the crumbs onto the bottom and about two-thirds of the way up the sides of the springform pan.
7 You don't want the crust to form all of the way up the back of each slice of cheesecake.
8 Bake the crust for 5 minutes, then set aside until you are ready to fill it.
9 In a large mixing bowl combine the cream cheese, 1 C sugar, and vanilla.
10 Mix with an electric mixer until smooth.
11 Add the pumpkin, eggs, cinnamon, nutmeg and allspice and continue beating until smooth and creamy.
12 Pour the filling into the pan.
13 Bake for 60-70 minutes.
14 The top will turn a bit darker at this point.
15 Remove from the oven and allow the cheesecake to cool.
16 When the cheesecake has come to room temperature, put it into the refrigerator.
17 When the cheesecake has chilled, remove the pan sides and cut the cake into 8 equal pieces.
18 Serve with a generous portion of whipped cream on top.

Re: Thanksgiving Vegetable and dessert recipes
Okay here is a few SUPER QUICK but delicious desserts I make:
Fat Man's Delight
1 Tub of Fat Free Cool Whip (plain flavor) 1 Tub of Low Fat Chocolate Pudding 3/4 package of crushed Oreo Cookies (reduced fat if you like--it won't change the flavor at all )
Combine all three ingredients in a huge mixing bowl. Until thoroughly mixed. Put in refrigerator for about an 1 hour to 2 hours. Take out and serve in small bowls or ice cream dishes. Top with whip cream and oreo cookie for garnish. Serve and enjoy!!
Fast and Easy Tarts
6 mini Graham cracker crust shells (found in baking aisle) Snack Pack of Swiss Miss Puddings in vanilla and chocolate Fresh Fruit (bananas and strawberries) Whip Cream
Take one pie crust and put one layer of chocolate pudding. Add 3 sliced bananas. Top with more pudding. Add 3 more bananas. Cover generously with whip cream. Banana slice for garnish. The same can be done with vanilla but in lieu of bananas you add strawberries.
Both of these dishes are SOOOO yummy but they are light and guests are guaranteed to gobble them up even after a heavy meal!!
ENJOY!!

Chocolate Ganache Pie
Real Easy
1 pre-made pie crust from baking aisle 2 cups heavy cream 1 lb semi-sweet chocolate chips Seedless Raspberry Jam Whip Cream
Brush inside of pie shell with raspberry jam bring 2 cups of heavy cream to a boil pour over chocolate chips and stir till all melted ( i add more jam inside the melted chocolate mixtue -- tastes like jelly rings) Pour into pie shell Refrigerate until solid
Serve with Whip Cream
You can either pipe whip cream on before serving or service each piece with a whip cream
Can decorate top with fresh raspberries.

Re: Thanksgiving Vegetable and dessert recipes
I make corn pudding (kind of vegetable!) and everyone goes crazy for it! It's super easy and cheap to make too! It's a cross between corn bread and creamed corn!
Corn Pudding 1 stick butter/marg 1 cup sour cream 1 can corn (drained) 1 can creamed corn 1 pack of Jiffy corn muffin mix 1 egg pinch of salt
melt butter and mix all ingredients together, bake in a greased pan for 1 hour at 375 degrees, until top turns golden brown
This recipe will make a side in a small 8x8 (i think) dish, not good with sizes sorry
