Thankyous

Thankyous

I was planning on just using the pre-printed ones that come from our photographer. I'm just curious to know if this is kind of old fashioned. What is everyone else doing?

Those are still very popular. Our photographer gave us the option of the hallmark card style ones and those are what we used. More writing tho Thank goodness they are all out now.

I don't think of them as traditional...but just overdone...

we had thank yous made to match our invitations

My godmother had informal note cards with our monogram made for us, and she gave them to me at my bridal shower. I used these cards for my wedding thank yous, and they were beautiful.

I got informal notes right before my e-party with just our first names on them. I used them as thankyous for my e-party gifts. I am also going to use them for wedding gift thankyous (stole idea from Claud). I think they are more formal then the ones the photographers give you. You can include a photo if you want. I am only sending photos to immediate family and close friends (again stolen from Claud) since I know a lot of people just throw those little photos in a draw somewhere.

My photographer is giving us 4 options - one is the traditional way, and another is the picture printed directly on the top of a 4x6 card - I think we'll do that since it's alittle different. Guests don't get to frame it, but then again, do many people do that anyway?!

Edited to say that although I don't think many people frame the pics, I do think many appreciate seeing a professional pic. I always keep the pics I receive for at least a year or so - if not longer.

just FYI...I have every wedding picture I have gotten on my refrigerater...I love to display them all there...and people who come over always ask about the people, etc...

I'm going to have my Thank you's made to match my invitations, but I'm using the free wallets that my photographer is giving me, and having them inserted in.
