Haven't been writing as much lately but I'm back!!
So as the day approaches....
and I'm getting ready to send out my invitations...
am I the only one that feels like - you wish that you didnt give save the dates out cause some of those people that got a save the date you kinda dont want to invite anymore....
Just saying... I cant be the only one feeling this way... or am I just grumpzzz
I definitely felt that way about some people. It made me sad knowing some of my relationships with friends have changed since I sent save the dates and moved in with my fiance in Jersey. A few friends have really fallen off but I invited them any way. I was def grumpy about it but in the long run i think it was just easier to invite them and not cause a fuss.
I totally feel you though!

Same thing here...and it does make me a little sad... and then when I think about how much I'm paying per person and the overall event.... it almost turns to mini anger/saddness lol
But like you said... it really is just a lot easier to send the invitation still
At least I know I'm not the only one!

Yes! I'm in the same situation with two couples that I really wish I didn't send STDs. Then there are two couples I decided to invite that didn't get a STD and I keep thinking they'll know they were an after thought. Lose lose situation.

Thanks to these boards and other vents like this one, I was very careful about who I sent save the dates to! LOL! I would have never thought about it without these boards! I only sent them to family and our closest friends. I wanted the option to change my mind last minute about some others. lol

I feel you especially since like Jamielin i have some people too that did not received save the dates that are getting an invitation....
Well my BM did say to me.... 'Open a bottle of wine when sending the invitations... and an even bigger bottle when opening the cards after the wedding.....' smh

I was really careful sending save the dates, but my biggest problem is now people expecting to be invited when I wasn't sure about it. One friend who I haven't spoken to in a while took off work the weekend of my wedding so he could come...even after not getting a save the date. Now I'd feel really bad about not inviting him, plus the circle of 8 guys I'd have to include along with him. This list just keeps getting bigger...

We skipped the STD because I was afraid that we would run into this problem. Haha. I figured, those who know us and want to be there know the date and will make it work and if my relationships change (which it appears they are) I don't feel guilty for sending them a STD, just my own personal guilt.

You are definitely not alone in this. It is so funny that 'guest list' becomes the bane of one's wedding planning existence for lack of a better way of putting it. I never thought I would have a sleepless night or be in a bad mood about that list. The joke is on me now, lol.

I'm torn cause i feel like its our day and our money and we really should do what we want.
My mom is tough and says dont give anyone you dont really want there even if they got a Save the Date.
I think i might hold some people's invitation. Especially to those who crossed the line to being blantly ungrateful for the invite or rude to me...
