that lovey dovey feeling?

that lovey dovey feeling?

I don't know what is going on but I have totally lost that 'Oh my God! I can't believe I get to marry him!' feeling. He drives me freakin nuts! On most occasions when I think of FH, I think of all the ways he is aggravating me as opposed to how awesome he is. I kind of feel like I'm focusing on the bad though and taking the good for granted. As an example, instead of being excited for Valentine's Day, whenever I think about it, I think of how he'll do the same friggan thing he does every year which is completely devoid of thought and romance. What is my problem? Is it pre-wedding stress/jitters? Is anyone else going through this?

i could've written this myself right now.

I am chalking it up to wedding stress, money stress, work stress, money stress, pms, money, money money, etc.

Deep down, i have absolutely no doubt that FH is the one I want to spend the rest of my life with, but at the moment, everything he does is creeping under my skin and making me want to clawwwww his eyesss out sometimes

hang in there

eta: I just want to be appreciated!!!

Awe, I'm really sorry you're feeling like that. It may be wedding stress. Just give it time. Do you guys have any vacation coming up? Maybe you just need to rekindle the romance and forget the wedding planning for a little...

I sing this song to FH “We’ve lost that loving feeling…”

FH gets to me a lot lately, and then I feel it’s because I don’t think he makes an effort, not like he used to. But it can also be wedding jitters, or the fact we are saving for wedding. So many factors can contribute to those feelings..

It is definitely normal, the little flaws of FH become huge issues lately and the good things he does like cookdinner when I get home late, i don't even pay attention to...it definitely is pre wedding jitters! This is completely normal! I think when we marry someone its not because we want to ravage them everyday or think that he can do no wrong, it is about embarking on a life with someone that is compatible to us and that we can picture growing old with...a life companion...

It should get better!

Believe me, with some of the nonsense that goes on, that goes through my mind which is terrifying. So I understand.

But meanwhile, everytime I do think that, he does something unbelievably awesome to make me be like 'what was I thinking?'.

Just after I wrote the OP, he called me to tell me he found 2 potential homes for us to look at tomorrow night and I had know idea he was even looking or even interested in looking! I'm so happy b/c I want to move so bad and he seemed very dismissive of that. He did that all on his own! Wow!

I have been feeling the same way. I have to say I feel a little better knowing that I am not alone. I know that he is the one I want to be with forever, but I am really stressing.

How sweet that he found houses for you to look at! I definitely think wedding stress takes it's toll. Mine is driving me batty especially since I have never wanted a big wedding in the first place so I feel really annoyed dealing with all the crap I wouldn't have to deal with if I had gotten what I wanted, a much smaller DW or something like that. I think once you get closer (and if you can ignore the crazy family, bp and friends who stress you around that time) the excitement comes back! At least that's my experience now.

Awww i think it happens to all of us...FH & I joke that the honeymoon's been over before it even began...we've been together over 5 years and have lived together almost 4 of those....it's natural to get on each other's nerves at times and not feel 'lovey dovey' all the time...but we have a solid relationship, and even when he makes me want to shoot him...i think of all the wonderful things he does for me...and i know he always has my best interest at heart...and I try not to take him for granted either...
