Re: Thatched Cottage
I went to a wedding there about two weeks ago. They had the ceremony outside in the gazebo and it was beautiful! The only thing was that it was humid and the bugs were biting us the whole ceremony...thank god it wasnt that long! Did you do the food tasting there yet? Ive heard mixed reviews on the food. Personally, i never trust anyone's opinions on the food since we all have different tastes...I didnt think it was bad. All in all the hall was beautiful and the wait staff was very attentive. Oh yea and the bartender we had was awesome!!
Oh yea I almost forgot... The directions they provided for the invites were wrong and a few people got lost. Just make sure that the ones they give you to put in the invites are correct.

We also had a problem with directions the first time we went there. The tasting was very good. We really liked the food. The sushi was excellent. There were a few hors d'ouerves the fh and my mother did not like but then again, we all have different tastes and overall, we thought it was very good. We are pretty much set on booking TC.

If you dont mind me asking what main courses did they serve you at the tasting? I had the chicken with the spinach (which I thought was very good) and the salmon in the puff pastry which LOOKED adorable! but i dont eat salmon so I am not a good judge. I am curious to see if anyone had the chicken with the mushroom stuffing? I am upset i didnt get to try the sushi! But they gave us probably 20 other hordevoures to try so I guess I cant complain lol!

Re: Thatched Cottage
They gave me that little card with the map which has the directions written out underneath it. I remember that there was a part about making a right at the first light, but at the first light, you can't make a right, so it's the next light. They just seemed a little confusing. I don't have the directions in front of me now but it also said something about turning onto...25A? It was hard to find but luckily FH looked at the map and figured it out. I just hope our guests can!

Re: Thatched Cottage
sorry to be a pain - but these are the directions they have on their site - are these wrong? i guess i dont know b/c i live right off of 25A and only 5-6 minutes from there - so i dont come from one of the major highways

Re: Thatched Cottage
I can't wait until we book at the Thatched. I love it there, it' my favorite place and it's right around the corner from us and the church.
I had the same problem when I was living in Nassau and went to a Christmas Party at the Thatched, I got confused by the directions too.

Re: Thatched Cottage
Hey we were torn between Thatched and Hamlet Willow Creek. I have to tell you Andre, I think that was his name, was AMAZING! He is so wonderful. Such a charmer and a great salesman. I loved the downstairs room for the cocktail hour. Are you getting married outside on site or at a church or inside on site?? We needed a place that we loved the area for the ceremony cuz we are getting married at the reception site, and since our wedding is in the Winter we decided against Thatched because we didn't love the Chapel upstairs. But the food sounds amazing. They offered us a great price and it was really hard to turn him down. He was so great. My Mom was in love with him haha. I just know they are going to be so helpful and wonderful to you and all of your guests!!
