You don't have to worry about the tide. I went to go look at the Thatched Cottage and my fiance asked about the tide. The lady told us that the harbor master shuts some type of "gate" on Thursday that keeps the water in the harbor. This way there is only high tide on Fridays and Saturdays and no low tide to ruin your cocktail hour.
I would ask him about this. Is he charging more for one hour as opposed to 3 hours and how does he determine his pricing? You can also mention my name.
