Question - are you doing bathroom baskets or do they provide. I remember the last time we were there, there were baskets in the bathroom with lotion, tampons, hairspray, etc, but I never got around to asking if the provided them. ANy expereiences?

I went to a wedding at the thatched cottage (BTW, it was AMAZING!!!) and there were no bathroom basktets. So I'm thinking that you would have to provide them, or you can give them a quick call to ask. :) I'm sure they get calls like that all the time.

Hi!
They provide the basics (hairspray, soaps, lotion, etc) but they can't provide any medication (aspirin, tums etc.)
When you sit for your final meeting they will go over that with you. I just had my mom buy some sample meds in case anyone was in need.
My wedding was there in October and people are still talking about how great the TC was!!

Another thing that I forgot! Okay so you said the basics are there - I don't have to worry too much. I'll buy some extras and pray that's it. I think in August or September I go back there for the menu and all that jazz. Let me know who everything goes for all those before me!!

Hopefully they provide the basics because I was hoping to get away without having to do the baskets.
Heres a question for you TC brides....I know they are doing a lot of remodeling - does anyone know if they are redoing the bathroom? Also - have they started working on the foyer?

Not a TC bride but I just wanted to add that I have been to a million weddings. Everywhere from Russos on the bay to really $$$ places in NJ & staten Island.
And I have to say my FAVORITE wedding was last summer at the TC!!! I LOVE it there!!!!! I cant wait for someone I know to get engaged so I can tell them to go look at TC!! I LOVE it there!!

i was just at the thatched cottage this past week (5/4) and there was no work going on in the foyer. they were doing something in the main ballroom, but that's all the remodeling i saw at that time.

i was a TC bride and i provided them. they have basics, but i wanted extras. the only thing you can't have is aspirin b/c of it mixing with alcohol. and maybe i'm a bit biased...but good choice ladies!
