My Fiance and I are pretty sure we will be having our wedding at the Thatched Cottage. We loved everything about it. It has been my dream place since I was a teenager.
My only issue is that we will be having our ceremony there and the outisde area near the gazebo may not be big enough for 200 guests to fit comfortably.
Has anyone ever been to a ceremony there? Any opinions?

i went to a ceremony there last august. it was outside and about 110 degrees. it was beautiful though. i have no idea how many people were there.
honestly though, the whole amount don't always come to the ceremony even when it's at the RH.
i would call them and ask them how many can fit

Thank you! We've been there and they said they can fit 200 comfortably outside but we are just having our doubts. It just did'nt look as big as other areas we visited.
But whats 20 minutes right?

I agree-my friend got married there and had 200 guests-about 130 showed up for the ceremony.

We seriously considered the Thatched Cottage and felt that it was def. large enough to fit 180 outside. Our concerns were if it rained, the facilities indoors seemed to be very tight.
I went to a wedding there and it rained, so the ceremony was moved inside. I think there were close to 300 guests and everyone was able to fit in the room.

I went to a ceremony there last september...I don;t think 200 guests would fit comfortably..The ceremony i went to only had about 75

My sister had over 200 guests at her Thatched Cottage wedding (including outdoor ceremony). I didn't notice any seating problems at all. For those who say not everyone will show up to the ceremony - when the ceremony is at the reception hall you get higher attendance than if the ceremony is at a separate location (unless you are me, and then you get 98% attendance at the ceremony ).

i had my wedding there- and we considered our ceremony there, toni ann told us 250 would fit outside.. we just decided to have it at our dream place- the beach
