does anyone know of a reputable trainer in suffolk that will come to your house.
I dont know what to do with fred anymore. He does not understand NO. When we tell him nohe barks at us and will even nip. He rips up the carpet in my den all the time and he knows it is wrong. He runs away as soon as we see him and he waits till we are not looking to do it to do it again. I dont know what to do anymore and I was crying about this before because I am so frustrated. We have tried bitter apple, putting him on a leash, and even smacking him...not hard.. (which just makes him more mad).
My mo watches him while im at work and she is completely fed up too.
Please PLEASE if you worked with a great trainer let me know. I know it is prob going to be a billion dollars but I need to do something about this ASAP
**sigh **

Re: Thats it....trainer help PLEASE
I'm sorry...I haven't used a trainer.
Have you tried tethering him? That is where attach the leash to you so he can't get away from you. Or, you could try crating him. Is he crate trained already?
Beagles are a stubborn breed and can be frustrating. Good luck!

He is crate trianed already, but it is when he is out that is the problem. He can be so destructive.

You could try crating him when you are home...that way he doesn't have free range. It also will help establish you are the 'alpha' dog.
I wish I had some trainer recommendations but I haven't used any. Have you tried your vet? They should have recommendations.
