Probably not. I don't need to read it to realize that this government is f-ed.. both republicans & democrats have their collective heads up their a55es.

my FW got on me sooo bad because I don't want to see Fahrenheit 911.
I then said.. well.. you didn't want to see 'The Passion.' (We both had our own reasons for not wanting to see each movie and it was kinda an uptempo chat at times.. but we kept it very civil.) She's a good debater too! (I really like that about her!)

i didn't see the passion either, too graphic for me and as a devout catholic, i don't need hollywood depicting one of the most important events in the catholic belief. boosh saw it though
for faranheit 911, i'm not going to pay 20 bucks to watch a 2 hour commercial endorsing kerry. It's all doctored footage. I want to make up my own mind based on objective materials, not based on one person's own warped beliefs.

For me, I went to see 'The Passion' on Good Friday. I used to be devoutly Catholic but have fallen away a bit. The violence was awful as Boosh can attest.. but I went in to the movie looking at in as a religious experience. It did influence me positively.
IMO, Gibson did do a good job. I think anyone else in Hollywood would definitely made this into some sort of sacrilege.

It was very graphic, but that doesnt bother me. Mel Gibson did make some 'Gospel according to Mel Gibson' scenes but he pretty much followed it according to the bible.
I thought it was very good, Im also buying the DVD it comes out in August.

First, the movie does not endorse Kerry. I don't believe that there is any mention of him at all in the film. Yes, it doesn't make Bush look very good, but it is not a commercial for Kerry.
Second, while I do not believe everything I see (on the screen or news) I do think that I left this film with questions. I believe that questioning your government is a crucial part of being an informed citizen. So, I think that seeing this film gave me a different perspective to incorporate into my own decisions.
Third, I am not a M. Moore fan. I do think that he twists things a lot of the time to fit into his agenda. This film though has some good points. To hear that our elected officials don't read the bills that they vote on, to see one by one congress members getting up and protesting the 2000 election to the senate, watching recruiting officers for the Marines going to the lower income neighborhoods, the Saudi Arabian ambassador having Secret Service bodyguards. Just a few things that make me go hmmmmm.
As for the 9/11 report I will probably read it. Although I do have to agree with Sassy. The government screwed up and that we all already know .

I may be wrong but wasnt Michael Moore in the paper a couple days ago, saying that the whole point of the movie was to push to get Bush out of office.

I could be mistaken, but I believe that in order to endorse something you need to mention it/him. Yes, it was obvious that Moore wants Bush out of office, but when he was making the film Kerry was not the offical candidate . So, I don't see how that can be considered an endorsment for Kerry himself.

I bought the report a few hours after it came out. I read the summary online and I plan to read the whole thing, I've been reading it a little at a time.
Moore does not endorse Kerry. He actually endorses Ralph ader and has said he would vote for him, but he encourages voters in swing states to consider the consequeces before voting for Nader, since every vote counts in such a close race.

Re: The 9/11 Report.. will you read it?
Also, if you read Dude, Where's My Country? it has a lot of the facts from 9/11 and it's all doctumented where he got the info. All of the factual information he presented in the film is undisputed fact. And his opinions are just that..opinions. I don't think anyone should refuse to see any movie on the basis that they don't agree with it. it's all the more reason to see the movie, i think, see what you're up against. I'm a person who is constantly questioning, and M. Moore, whterh you like him or not, will raise important questions in your minds. There's no doubt that he cares about this great, f'ed up nation of ours and he thinks about and uncovers the things the rest of us don't because for the most part, we don't dig any deeper than what the mass media groupthink is all about.
