The Arthur Mitchell Scholarship Fund

This fall, Commack High School plans to host a community running event in memory of Mr. Arthur Mitchell. Art was a retired physical education teacher and coach, and a beloved member of our security staff here at CHS, until his untimely death this past winter. He touched countless people in countless ways.

It is our hope to build The Art Mitchell Memorial Run/Walk into an annual Homecoming event for the purpose of raising funds for a scholarship in Art’s name.
This year's homecoming race will take place the morning of Saturday, October 9th, as part of the homecoming festivities.

To this end, we seek donations and sponsorships, from our community, to assist us in getting this worthwhile event underway. Of course, your business will be recognized as a donor on the race tee shirts, advertising banners and on any program we may publish. Your contribution will allow us to make this worthwhile cause a success and help a student with special needs further their education.
Donations may include:
Refreshments for participants after the race (water, fruit, bagels etc.)
Gifts and/or gift certificates to be raffles
Massage services for participants after the race
Any other item or service that you might deem appropriate to the event

Sponsorships: minimum of $100 will go towards.
