Has anybody ever been to a wedding that used the band Body Heat? They sound great on their website, but they are very expensive. I am going to their showcase and wanted to feedback.
Thanks, Steve

I heard they are a good band, but I also heard they are pricey. It really depends on your budget too. Have you looked at any other bands?

Re: The band Body Heat?
I have seen them at a wedding and at a showcase. They are very good but pricey. Also, when I went to the showcase it was just me & my mom (FI was sick) and they were REALLY pushing me to sign a contract without my FI. If you can afford them though their music is awesome & they really make the party come alive. You might also want to try Times Square Orchestra. I just heard them last week with a friend and they were even better and cheaper. JMO

You can really get a good deal booking way ahead. Also the independent bands are able to work with you more than the ones through agencies.

Re: The band Body Heat?
I looked at all of the skyline orchestra bands and Timepiece. I also looked at several band webisites to hear their samples. My impression of most of these bands is they usually have one great singer and then one that is not as good. If I could mix and match from the skyline bands, I could make the perfect band. I thought Code Blue was the best of the bunch, but they were booked for my day. I didn't like Timepieces sound system. The way they had it setup, everybody was distorted and I couldn't talk to the person next to me. They were way to loud. The female singer sounded really good, but the make singer was spinning on the floor and I thought it was a little much. Being an Audio Engineer, I am probably more picky then others.

I went to a wedding that Body Heat played and they were really great!
FH and I were thinking about booking them, but they were a little to much for us, and we wound up loving Code Bleu after we heard them!
Good Luck

Body Heat is a little more money, but they said we don't have to tip them or feed them. That saves a $600. I am seeing them tonight and then will compare.

My friend just had Niteflight at their wedding and they also liked the Projekt. I know both were affordable and Niteflight was one of the best bands I've heard in a while. They are a 9 piece band.

Body Heat is awesome! They played at my friends wedding Memorial Day at the Carltun and they were amazing!! They had the crowd dancing all night!
My brother is getting married on Labor Day and they are having TrueBlue - I have seen them too and they are amazing and more reasonably priced.....

Re: The band Body Heat?
They are the best band I have ever seen. If you are going to book a band- they are it!!!! I went to a couple of weddings where they played and they are worth every penny. I think you should ALWAYS feed your vendors and keep them happy so they do their absolute best. I also am big on tipping. But of course it is up to you.

Re: The band Body Heat?
... about feeding and tipping. I was discussing prices with them and I mentioned that they were more money and that I also had to factor in the cost of feeding them. They said that it wasn't necessary, they rather have the gig. I would prefer to feed them, but this is getting out of hand with the money.
I haven't made a decision yet, but I was blown away by their showcase last night.

I would try to negotiate with them. If not...there are others out there!
