Re: the bay view house
I've been there alot for xmas parties and weddings. Its a gorgeous venue with a real pretty outside view of the water and its one event at a time. The food is really good too. Personally I wouldn't have my reception there but thats only because I didn't like the floor plan of the place...but thats personal preference. Go check it out!

Re: the bay view house
we threw FFIL a surprise party there a few years ago. the food was amazing- well I had chicken.. and that was AMAZING!!! I had to take FMIL to meet with them and try and 'translate'... the two women we met with... weren't really the nicest people.. but they weren't HORRIBLE. they just got annoyed that we were trying to negotiate and they said no negotiating. I don't remember anyone really having any problems.
my MOHs grandfather was married there about 5 years ago... her and her sisters said it was the worst event EVER.. that the food was gross and cold, that the staff was horrible, that the floor was wet when they got there (like the carpet was soaked)...
but I mean... it was fine with us. and I know several other ppl who have had events there and were happy.
but.... FH and I went to get prices for our engagement party.. they quoted us DOUBLE what they quoted FMIL, and we got less choices- they gave us the wedding package. We said we didn't want that, we wanted the package we had for FFIL they said that its an engagement party and those and weddings go hand in hand. yea, we were not about to pay over $110/pp for an engagement party with less food then having a surprise party.
but- it is really pretty there and it has a great view, and we liked it for the S-party... and i still crave their chicken!

I had a similar issue. I looked there for a post nuptual for about 100 people. When I called, I just told them we wanted a 4 hour party and we were quoted around $55. As soon as I told her it was a post nup, she told me that I can ONLY have the wedding package. No ifs, ands or buts. She was short and confrontational.
I was disappointed because I loved it and thought we had found 'the one'.
But as for the place, it looks gorgeous and I haven't heard anything bad.

Re: the bay view house
Thanks for the reviews so far. Its beautiful, so I'm going to make an appointment and see for myself. FFIL says his sister deals with them every year for the Xmas party, so hopefully I don't get any mean people to deal with!

It is very nice looking but I feel they are overpriced for what it is/what you get.

Re: the bay view house
I am getting married there in May. I worked with Donna who has been super helpful and nice about everything! The place is beautiful and from what I have noticed well run, and the people have been very friendly so far.
