The Cat is FULLY Out of the Bag - Bridal Shower

So my dad totally slipped unintentionally...poor papa. He didn't tell my mom that he slipped though...I told him I wouldn't tell her or anyone in the bridal party that I knew either. He felt so bad. I did tell FH...and he started to laugh because he thought I would've figured it out anyways...which I kinda did because I knew Columbus Day weekend my niece was coming down from MA and they'd want to include her in the celebration.

Their cover story though is a weak one...LOL, but I love them for it . We got an 'invitation' for my FBIL's brother's 40th b-day party forthat weekend. Mind you we're not really close to him to be invited to his 40th. So 10/12 it will pour for me.

So now that I know I'm a dirty peeker...i just went and looked at my registries and saw some things were already bought. I really want someone to buy our knife set!! I was staying away from the registries..but since I know now I feel like I can look...am i bad?????

my FMIL ruined the surprise for me the night before

i dont think i ever posted the story b/c its kind of long....

i was surprised by my mom on fri night - the whole dress fitting thing - but my sis wasnt there and i was kind of bummed my mom said that she only came for the fitting and that she was leaving the next day - i on the other hand had a feeling she was coming, when we got to the mall i had a feeling it was my dress fitting and i was positive that my shower was the next day (im REALLY hard to surprise) so when she told me she was leaving i kind of believed her, because my sister wasnt there and it just didnt make sense...so walking through the mall waiting for my fitting i was getting confused....and for all of 15 minutes i believed that my mom was leaving the next morning - then we went into a store, i looked at dresses for the shower (i already had a dress picked out but now im thinking the shower must be in october so i wanted to find something less summery ) i pick up a dress and my FMIL says 'thats pefect, the weather tomorrow will be 77 degrees' at that moment my moms face and my FHs face dropped....i started laughing and my FMIL was confused - she didnt realize what she was saying, i dont know, she gets confused easily......she felt really bad.....we all got a good laugh out of it though....they kept telling me, act surprised, act surprised.....then i slipped about knowing where it was (only my one bridesmaid knew that i found out it where it was) so it was pretty funny.....that night i was upset that my sister wasnt there, like almost cried myself to sleep....when i got to my shower i was surprised to see my sister, even more surprised to see my grandma (from florida) and shocked at all the people and presents there....so they still got me, and it still is so emotional even when you know things! that was the point of my long a$$ story - that you will STILL be overwhelmed by it all!

I would soooo be looking at my registry list too You're not alone.

I know that for me, the shower is going to be only somewhat of a surprise. OOT family will be flying in for it (I think) so the weekend itself will be a surprise (when I see them all in NY), but on the actual day of I'll know what's happening. Good thing, cause i REALLY wanna be prepared.

Have a GREAT time at your shower!!!! Now you can dress accordingly and just ACT surprised

Aww thats cute...I looked at my registry everyday, DH was worse then me...he text me saying 'someone bought out microwave!!' it was cute.

i think we are showering the same day!!!!!!! haha i think mine is near my bday which is 10/13 so it might be 10/12 because i think my mom would stick to a sunday and not a sat for having a shower plus we have a bday dinner to go to sat night for my grandma so prob 10/12 haha

do it do it do it!! LOL.. i looked every day and i loved it!! i'm almost sad that i can't look anymore...
ok i can.. but nothing flies off like it did before..lol

btw..I totally figured out when my shower was.. and i still had a blast!! just practice being surprised.. cause everyone there could tell i so knew.. ha ha ha

I def. have to practice my surprised face. But Like some of you said I know I'll be overwhelmed. I'll probably start laughing which is what i do when i get nervous.

oh god, driving there with my Mom and FH i was soooooooooo nervous and so were they - because the three of us were walking in together - omg it was hysterical, when we got to the parking lot i recognized some cars so that made my mom and FH laugh, b/c i was pretending like it was a coincidence that there were my friends and families cars everywhere and then my FH had to call to let them know we were on our way up - so he calls and he looks at me says 'im just checking my voicemail' meantime of course i knew he was calling - for some reason that sticks out in my memory from the day, because it was just such a funny moment - walking up the stairs my mom and i couldnt stop giggling.....then i heard surprise and lost it tears immediately!

I knew when my shower was.....although I was totally overwhelmed when I walked in & started to cry.
it was so much fun though!
