The comb over
A computer tech just came in with the most amazing comb over I've ever seen. He combed it over from the side and the back. It was majestic.Of course, wikipedia has entries on everything - I felt like sharing:
A comb over is a hairstyle worn by bald or balding men where the hair on one side of the head is grown long and then combed over the bald area.
It is widely considered to be a generally unflattering look, and is not considered to be a legitimate hairstyle by most professional hairdressers. In popular culture, the comb-over is often a cliche associated with a nerd or a man experiencing a mid life crisis.
The combover has a U.S. Patent 4,022,227 by Donald J. Smith and his father, the late Frank J. Smith, of Orlando, Florida, whom were awarded an Ig Nobel Prize in Engineering for their effort.
Famous people with comb overs
'Baldy Man'
Traian Basescu
Bobby Charlton
John Cleese
Creepy comb-over Strong Bad/Senor Cardgage (Homestar Runner character)
Rudy Giuliani (gave up his comb over in 2002)
Norman Gunston
Adolf Hitler
Gene Keady
Bernard Landry former PQ premier of the Province of Québec.
René Lévesque (earned him the affectionate nickname of Ti-poil)
Carl Levin
Alexander Lukashenko (Belarussian dictator)
George McGovern
Desmond Morris
Ehud Olmert
Arthur Scargill (comb over famously mocked in Spitting Image)
Homer Simpson
Donald Trump (more accurately a 'comb forward')
Samy Vellu

Re: The comb over
I LOVE this 'is not considered to be a legitimate hairstyle by most professional hairdressers' FFIL has a MAJOR combover! It is just horrid when it is windy cause it just points straight up in the wind.

And we are on the beach, so I may have a comb over flying in the breeze
I already told FH that I don't care if he goes bald, but he is NOT allowed to have a combover

True - but at least a black and white picture will hide pink hair - there is really no way to mask the wrongness which is the combover. The combover is the antithesis of the mullet - one is so awesome and the other so horrid
Although I bet somewhere out there, there exists a man with a combover and mullet all at once!
Doesn't the bride icon almost look like she has a white mullet?

Isn't that always the way?
I can't do my programs cause of a long complicated issue with a BM and GM and we aren't sure if he is gonna get in. I told her it would be resolved....July 9th!

What's going on?
Too long and too complicated for me to type out - has been going on since March - when I originally bought my program stuff
, so really what are the chances of magic resolution in 3.5 weeks. I'll FM you the entire too long story one day if I ever am motivated enough.

Re: The comb over
It's cool - don't worry about it. Especially if it's that long. I hope that it gets resolved very quickly.
