i don't know what the 'correct' way is, but i am creating one per person with no titles, just first name and last name.

So for a couple you are doing 2 placecards?

I always do them the same way I labled the invitations

yup, and 1 per kid (we are only having one kid)

yup, and 1 per kid (we are only having one kid)


I think you can get away with that if you are having a small wedding ( I believe september2004 is) but Julz is having a BIG wedding... It would look silly with all those place cards - JMO

or
Mr and Mrs blah blah & childs name

but just so you know all the events I have been invited to as a family ( me, fh and the baby) the placecard always said our names but not his... its kind of assumed he will be sitting with us

eta. and if its only 1 family of that last name you can just do the XXX family. ( obviously wont work if there are alot of people with that last name coming!)

OR what about - Bob Jane & Mike smith (????)

I would do Mr and Mrs whoever and family. I would do one per couple also so if there are people invited with guests it goes on the same card.

Well, for the invites, I sent one for my brother and his 2 kids.

The outer envelope was address to just my brother.

The inner envelope was addressed to

Victor, Matthew, and Demietra

For placecards, I gave each of them their own.

Mr. Victor XXXX
Table 2

Mr. Matthew XXXX
Table 2

Miss Demietra XXXXX

John Doe and Jane Smith (I HATE when people write us in as Mr. Brian ___ and Marisa) HELLO ! I have a last name too !!

Anyone who was not part of a couple i'd give a separate card.
