Re: The Crescent
I went to a wedding there about 5 years ago - things may have changed since then but I remember not being too impressed.
My problems with it were: the ceremony was outside (beautiful) but the restaurant balcony overlooked the ceremony and the dinner guests they had there were loud and waiters dropping plates disrupted the ceremony, etc. You could barely hear the officant over the talking of the folks upstairs
the cocktail hour room was long and thin with limited seating. It was cramped. When the cocktail hour was over, they had us all move on to the deck that adjoined the ballroom because they needed to use the cocktail room as part of the ballroom. So we were all squished out on the deck until they could transform the cocktail room into the rest of the ballroom.
there was some contraversy about it a few months ago...do a search to see it...

Re: The Crescent
Last week we pulled our deposit from there. We initally loved it, but when we brought the parents to see- they weren't as thrilled. A couple of things to consider... The hall shares the restroom w/the restuarant, and they say they're giving you a rr attn. When you have the cocktail hr outside your guest have to walk all around to the front, into the parking lot and then back inside to get to the reception. And although it has a beautiful view, if you have an evening wedding, you have the view for a little while. Any more specific questions, just let me know, I'd be glad to help. If they could guarantee that it would be the most beautiful day in the world, I'd pick the crescent despite the few flaws. ~Andrea

I don't like the fact that the bar is made up of three tables pushed together and it is outside the room. The bathrooms also look like school bathrooms.
