The Da Vinci Code

The Da Vinci Code

Anyone here ever read it? I've read it and am really excited about the movie coming out in May. It's already my new favortie movie. But everyone I've tried to talk to about it, refuses to read and/or talk about it 'cause of it's nature.

So anybody read it? What did you think?

I really enjoyed it while reading it, it was really engrossing and a quick read. But after I finished and thought about it I liked it a lot less. There was a lot that just didn't do it for me, but I think it'll make a great movie, the book was practically a film script.

I loved it while reading it and couldn't put it down. Once I finished it I started thinking about how they ended it and who was the 'bad guy' things just didn't add up for me.

I am very excited about the movie though....

At first I was very reluctant to read it until Fh came home with it in his hands. I thoroughly enjoyed it and coulnd't put it down but to me it was just a good mystery...I didn't really analyze it the way some people have.

I read Davinci Code and Angels and Demons and both were very good..

Is it me or am I the only one that thinks that Tom Hanks could not be the right Robert Langdon??

I was thinking the same thing. I mean I know the movie is gonna be great, but I always pictured somone more like Huge Jackman for the part. Or someone unknown, so the lead wouldn't draw attention away from the story.

I was picturing someone like Harrison Ford, he plays that adventurous but well educated man very well.

I pictured Harrison Ford as well, but I think he's a little too old.. What about George Clooney?

yes, but he can't play the adventurous professor again! That would be some serious typecasting!

Besides, he's way too old for Langdon now... I like the Hugh Jackman suggestion above, but probably only because I think he's gorgeous and talented and would love an excuse to stare at him... But somebody along those lines.

I can't see Tom Hanks working though. I mean, Langdon is supposed to be handsome and athletic... I don't think Tom Hanks really has that look.

Hugh Jackman would have been great!!! Maybe Tom Hanks will surprise us.

I must say though I was a littel dissappointed with the Da Vinci Code - I thought Angels and Demons was MUCH better.

I'll second that.....but it doesn't mean that Da Vince Code was bad in any way....actually all of Dan Brown's books are excellent
