The Dancing Worked!! Finally, something went
well!!!
I went for my sonogram on Friday to see if the placenta moved up, and I'm happy to report that the placenta is now where it rightfully belongs!!!
The drama of the day: Joe and I took off and leave with plenty of time to get there for my 2:30 appointment. NOT -- get stuck in MAJOR traffic and get to the hospital 15 minutes late. I'm in the elevator and I pull out the paper and go 'OMG, my appt. was for 2PM!!!!'
Now I'm trying to walk, or I should say waddle, as fast as I can because I had to pee in the worse way, but need a full bladder for this. I run in the room and the woman goes 'you were supposed to be here at 2' and I explained to her that I thought it was 2:30, we were in major traffic, and with the week I had with all these dr's appts, I'm lucky I know whether I'm coming or going!!!! Come on, give me a break. It's not like they waited for me -- they took whoever came after me first!!!
Alrighty, let's move on to the sonogram -- I'm waddling really badly now and I asked the technician if I need to have a full bladder and she said they don't want me uncomfortable and I told her that I was so uncomfortable, I wouldn't be able to climb on the table, so she let me go -- THANK GOD!!!
So the sonogram starts and there's Baby Bear Cub, doing his/her thing, moving all around -- I could hardly see anything with the angle I was at, but Joe was practically sitting on top of me to see if he can catch a glimpse of 'something'
!! He didn't see anything!
The dr comes in and says that since the baby's head is in the way, they have to do a vag'l sono now -- great! Joe almost passed out at that one!!
And because the Bear Cub's head was still in the way, THEY TURNED ME UPSIDE DOWN!!! Oh how embarrassing is that now? My feet in the air and my head on the floor and here I am thinking 'Oh God, I'm going to fall off!' and the dr goes 'don't worry, they'll catch you on 3 in L&D'!! :EMO3
But everything is just where it's supposed to be and Baby Bear Cub is 4 1/2 pounds and doing just fine and dandy!!!! And the reason I'm peeing every 2 minutes is because his/her head is right on my bladder!!! Gee, thanks kid!!
Back for another sono this Friday to check on the size! Joe is now convinced from the new picture it's a girl!! Oh and he told me that now the baby has his head!!!![]()
