The Defrosting of THE CAKE

Hey my lovelies!

So...this Saturday, J.O. and I will be celebrating our ONE YEAR Anniv. We are going to dinner, and then coming home to eat our cake, and watch our wedding video.

Can anyone give some good tips on the best way to go about the 'defrostration' process? Should I take it out the night before? Put it in the fridge? Set under a tealight for 2.6 hours?

Thanks!
K.O.

edited for some pretty dumb errors.

I put it in the fridge a couple days before & it was fine when we went to eat it. The filing was YUM-tha actual cake part-not so much.

Happy Anniversary!

OMG, I can't believe your 1 year is this weekend!!!

I took my cake out the day before & placed it in the fridge. Much to my surprise it tasted quite good. The cake was a little dry but the cannoli was yummy....Enjoy your day!

My DH said the same thing. I finally convinced him that it would be fine and that everyone on this board does it, etc. etc. so of course it was gross...he'll probably never trust me again!
