the dress....

OK, so i was killing myself searching for a picture of the dress that i fell in love with, but couldn't find it ANYWHERE on the web. i called the store and they told me that the dress was from fall '07 and they told me the style name. even with that info, i had NO luck. i was getting really frustrated, so i called the Monique Lhuillier contact number in Cali and I was told that the dress never made it to the runway. Is this something I should be wary of??? Would I not want a dress because it 'never made it to the runway'????

No way!! I feel that if you're totally in love with the dress and you think that it is 'the dress', then I say who cares if it never made it to runway? You're going to look gorgeous in it no matter what!

no no, i'm not asking superficially, i just wanted to know if something would be 'wrong' with a gown that never made it to the runway. i LOVEEEEE the gown. i don't care if it never made it anywhere!!!!

it could be a 'fake' which would mean the store is probably charging you a ton for the designer name when in fact it's just a knock-off.

I don't know about that but I would look into it. Call the store and see if they have any pictures they can give you. If so, email someone at Monique Lullier to make sure it's authentic.

i already called monique lhuillier's 'office'. i was already told it's authentic, just that it never made the runway. i just want to know if there's any reason one shouldn't buy a dress that never made it to the runway

Hey if you still love the dress maybe you can get them to discount it a little since it never made the runway
The designer still liked the dress enough to put her name on it and put it on the market. Maybe she had something too similar to that dress on the runway already? I really don't know
