The dress alterations are going to be more than we thought...

I am worried about telling FH.... I have FH's 2 daughters dersses as well... I didn't realize how much it will be ... if anyone remembers, FH lost his job and has been doing some part time work for a friend, and doing some private work here and there, but not enough to make ends meet....

O sweetie.....What kind of alterations do you need??? Is it just for your dresses or for your future daughters dresses as well??? I do know how you feel when they told me how much my alterations were going to come too my heart dropped in to my stomach....I wished so bad I knew how to do it myself....But I can't even draw a straight line let alone sew one...I can say if I win the Lotto and become rich I'll help my LIW brides in need.....

My aunt recommended a seamstress she has used frequently. I went tonight with one of my BM's and she is only charging her $45 to put in cups and take in the dress almost 2 sizes. FM if you want details. She said the most she charges a bride for full alterations is around $180.
