the funny thing about BMs

Is that..although they are super sweet and convince you that whatever you need will be fine...IT's A LIE!!! lol

I have picked 3 dates..I repeat 3 dates to go out to finalize the BM dresses. Can you believe that every last one of these girls has an issue with every single one of these dates! Event he time of 2pm b/c it's smack in the middle of the day...I have bridesmaids coming from upstate and the city for Pete's sake!!

I feel a Bridezilla breakdown comin on...Bridezilla MAD!!!

I just picked out the colors of the dresses and the dress - told the woman at the location the style number and what girl got what color and they went on an individual basis to be sized and once all of them are there she will put the order in - two of them have gone already - 2 left to go - made my life so easy

and that is why i'm only having a MOH & i let her pick the dress & the shoes. i don't want to deal with the headaches & i've known her since 2nd grade so who better to have by my side then her.

I wanted to do that so bad but my FH comes from a huge family and he is somewhere in the middle and never even had a bday party...so this has turned into his super sweet sixteen and i totally want to make it special for him so i put his sisters in it like i know he wanted secretly...that;s what i get for being nice....

that's really nice of you. FH didn't want a big BP either, he only has a BM. if he would put one other person in then he'd have to do everyone & it would turn into a disaster. lucky for me he only has one sister & he can't stand her.

Aww that *****. My friends are all excited about going to look for dresses now but I'm sure when we actually have to pick a day to GO it will be a problem.

Just pick a date, send them one more e-mail (assuming they all check their e-mail regularly) and tell them if they want to come they are welcome to come but this is the only date. They can go themselves if they want (and if you want) but this is when you are going. If they want to come or have an opinion, they will come. Otherwise they have no say. The end.

I never took all of my girls shopping together -- my MOH and one very involved BM came dress shopping with me for my dress, tried on 3 BM dresses, fell in love with one, I OK'd it and that was that. I e-mailed a pic to the others and told them where they could see it in person, they all said it was fine and OK'd the price, so we ordered them.

I am very lucky in that all of the girls seem to really love the dress and color, especially now that the dresses are in and they have seen them in person. It's so hard to try to get everyone together at once that this worked best for all of us.

Give them a chance to come if they want, and don't kill yourself chasing them around.

it seems to be working itself out...they have all agreed on a day that is not one of the original dates but whatever...at least it's about to be done!!!

I totally feel you on this one. I should have picked the dress and color and said please get your measurements and order by ______ date. BUT NOOOOOOOOOOO I had to be nice and have them alll try it on and blah blah blah it was a mess everyone through their two cents. It was crazy but it all worked out in the end.

three of my girls went to put down their deposits. I am waiting for two more who dont want to go yet because they feel they might lost weight...i told them they got one month to decide on what they want to do...if not then they will be eliminated.

You know, I have been avoiding the whole dress thing because I know this is going to happen. I think I am just bring two of my sisters and having them try on the dresses and then sending the dress in an email and just tell the girls to order it. I want to keep it simple and hopefully have NO aggrevation.

I picked the dress. I sent them the link. I gave them some stores they can go to to order it.

If they don't have it ordered by the cut off date, they are out.... and that is that :)
I am hoping that everyone can get their act together by that time lol.

I JUST HAVE SO MANY SHAPES AND SIZES IN BM'S I JUST WANT TO MAKE SURE NO ONE LOOKS AWFUL..I MAY LOVE THE DRESS AND THINK IT LOOK GOOD ON A SIZE 1 MODEL BUT I HAVE TO SEE IT ON REGULAR SIZED CHICAS LOL!!!

ha ha, i can sympathize. many brides on here have had some trouble coordinating BM dress shopping. life is so busy, ya know? i think it's just for people to make the time. i agree with the others--pick the dress, let them get measured on their own time, and when everyone is done, place the order.

i know it s ucks not being able to see each of them try it on, but it'd be a sample gown in the wrong size anyway. how much is the fit on each BM going to influence your final decision?
