The Garter: What's It's Purpose?
i'm at a loss. a seemingly fun, albeit embarrassing tradition, is really curious to me.
does anyone know why we 'toss the garter'? do we need to wear it if we're not having it tossed?

I don't know why we do it either. But I didn't plan on throwing it and forgot to put it on. I don't think it's a big deal if you don't wear it.
