The good, the bad and the ugly of this weekend(I said yes to the dress!)
Happy Monday Ladies! Here we go...
The good: I went to Kleinfeld on Sunday and I got my dress!!! Everyone there are such sweethearts.
As it was sample sale day, we were only allotted 1 hr. We were 15 minutes late because my sister and MIL weren't ready on time. No one even mentioned our tardiness and we never felt rushed. One of the ladies from the show even randomly came up to my dressing room and chatted with us.
The first dress I tried on I fell in love with. Jessica, the girl who worked with me suggested it. The designer, Dennis Basso, was there for his trunk show, so I got 12.5% of, bringing me a bit under budget, yay!
I tried on two more, including an Augusta Jones I fell in love with online. They just looked sad in comparison. I tried on the Dennis Basso again and dolled it up with a sparkly belt and a veil, and everyone in the store was turning heads when I walked out and giving me compliments. The designer kept coming up to me to chat and take pictures, he was so sweet!
MIL was so happy. She kept saying 'My son is going to be so happyyyy!' It was such a great experience and we all had fun.
The bad: I went to get a wash and deep condition on Saturday. I've started my regimen of really taking care of my hair so that it will be healthy the day of. I had cut it in a bob a few months ago, with the front longer than the back. But now I'm growing it out for the wedding. All week FH was raving about how much my hair is growing (he loves it long).
When I got in the chair to blow it out, some of the parts were a bit uneven, altough I had her even it out two weeks ago. She decided I needed a trim and proceeds to chop of about 1.5 inches!! I started getting a cold sweat. By the time I realized what she was doing, it was too late. I am now back to a short bob, much to the dismay of FH!!
The ugly: I came in to work this morning, glowing from an amazing weekend. I got my dress, I hung out with my sister, MIL and one of my bridesmaids, I got to see another one of my bridesmaids for a bit as she was in town from Texas visitng her sister for two days, FH's buddy and his wife took us out to celebrate, you get the drift.
As soon as I start writing my LIW post, my boss' a-hole brother, who I informally work for also, called me and chewed me out for leaving early Friday without telling him, even though my boss is the one who insisted I leave early and his idiot brother wasn't even in the office on Friday. He made me so upset I started to cry and now I have to go to Sephora to touch up my makeup because our company holiday party is tonight. UGH!!!
