We stayed at the Grande and were told by other couples that had been there not to waste the money for it. You actually share that area with a few rooms. The pools are so close to the rooms anyway that we had a blast!!!
FM me if you have any questions!

Re: The Grande St. Lucia
we stayed at the Regency and LOOOOVED it. we had an amazing water's edge ocean view room. We had 8restaurants and AWESOME nightlife....we hopped a little bit and i would say the food at ours outweighed the others (i'm not saying that cause we stayed there! there was just more variety, and a few of our friends that had stayed at others said the same). Anyways, regardless - sandals is awesome....i have heard the same about the swim up pools(that u share it) so i would DEFINETLY check with ur travel agent before u shell out the money.
good luck!

i would agree with that
plus i wasnt thrilled with the grande.. grande bohemian is much nicer. more to do, more resturants. its not a 2 hour drive from the airport

Re: The Grande St. Lucia
I didn't stay in that rm. I stayed at the regency and stayed in the 2 story Villa Honeymoon suite w/ private pool and butler ontop ocean bluff. It was amazing, and well worth the $. The Grande is a gorgeoud hotel and I haven't heard any comments or criticisms about the swim up room. However, the Grande - the water is alot more calmer, and the ocean is more clearer as per the Regency. It also rains more at the regency where it doesnt rain at the Grande because the regency is closer to the rain forest. Aditionally, the Grande has alot more water sports, like the waverunner, jetski, and a 'tube' about 15 feet into the ocean where you can jump off of! There both beauiful resorts!
