The Honeymoon

Well, after a long partying weekend. John and I set off early Tuesday, Aug. 20th to Sandals Golf and Spa Resort in St. Lucia.

We had the best time ever (9 days) and have just arrived back. This place is fantastic and we are going back in 6 months.

We booked the Ocean View Honeymoon Suite with Jaccuzzi on the Bluff which had 24 hour room service.

Seeing that this place was all inclusive we definately got our monies worth.

Sandals had action packed fun filled days and evenings. They even arranged tours which John and I managed to squeeze in one the day before we left.

There were about 5 or 6 great restaurants which Kimonos was our favourite.

There were 3 pools to lounge around or go for a cool dip.

We made friends with other couples quite quickly and went to dinner with them.

All the activities that Sandals arranged with other guests quickly made for great conversations and lots of laughter.

The Spa was great.

John and I highly recommend this place. You might be spending a lot of money but you do have a memory that will last a lifetime.

Re: The Honeymoon

John and I did the Souifre half day tour of the Island and visited the dormant volcano. The trip was very nice. We knew that we should have got out more but we were having too much fun. We are going to correct that in February when be will be going back for a week

John and I did not make the most of the tours as we only went on one half day trip that toured the Island. There were sooo many tours that I cannot even list them for you. There was even a trip that sends to to Antigua for the day, booze cruises, you name it they had it. I also advise the in-house activities. They were a lot of fun. There is golf, tennis, scuba diving lessons for certification etc.

The sheet that they gave us for trips was at least 6 pages long All activities for the day at the hotel are posted on a board daily. Hope this helps.

MISHY

The resort is all inclusive but you do have to pay for all telephone calls which are very expensive and anything you buy that you do not pay cash for is charged to your hotel room and you tally up at the end of the trip. They give you the option of paying cash or charging to your credit card.

Just another quick note, John and I wanted to go on this trip last year and it would have cost us $10-11K, this year it cost us $6k and was worth every penny. We booked with Liberty Travel and our agent fought for every deal for us.

We were even eligible to receive our free 20 piece Royal Doulton China. I believe they are now offering Crystal as another choice.

Hope this helps.
