The INN

My fiancee and I went to The Inn at New Hyde Park last to take a tour of the facilities and we were blown away! Amazing! I would love to have our wedding there but we could not make the min for a Saturday evening, but they can def accomodate us for a Saturday afternoon which I am okay with, however even during the afternoon they are a little pricey.

Just wanted any feedback about The Inn, before we decide what to do. I love that they have one wedding at a time and everything is so new and beauitful.

Any help you can provide would be great, thanks!!

I heard nothing but good things. My brother went to an eparty there last weekend and loved the food. And the grounds are beautiful.

I went to a wedding there last November and it was amazing! The food was really good, the room was so pretty. The CH room was really differnet ( alittle too small for the amt of people, but you probably wont run into that).

I was shocked at how big it is inside compared to how it looks from the outside.

Re: The INN

My FSIL got married there this past October... what a great wedding! The place is absolutely gorgeous! The food was great... tons of food at the CH. The staff was very good and very attentive. They did a Sunday night Columbus Day weekend... would you ever do a Fri or Sun night to save some $$?? My one and only complaint (which isn't a big one really) is the bridal suite is sooooo far from the ballroom. After going up to the bridal suite throughout the night, my feet were killing me in my heels. But it's definitely not a deal breaker, if you can afford it and are in love with it, go for it, it's beautiful!! Good luck!!

Re: The INN

Im gettin married there next october and IM in loooove with the place. i have heard nothing but wonderful things about the food, service and ofcoarse the ambience.. :) It is an amazing place and the people there are so helpful and accomodating.. they really make u feel like family.. The ballroom is gorgeous!! It has high ceilings which I looooved.. and there is a full bar at each end of the ballroom.. the new cocktail hour room is stunning.. we were blown away when we saw that.. we are very happy with our decision to get married at the INn.. I also hear you get tons of food for the money as well so that helped and made our decision easier. good luck with your choice.. Hopefully you will be a fellow inn Bride:)

Re: The INN

we had our eparty there in december. Everything was great...food/service etc. The place was beautiful and it was even decorated for xmas which made it more beautiful.

the only thing i wasnt crazy about was that even though its one wedding at a time there are several other events going on in smaller rooms...when we were leaving our eparty there was a bride having her pics taken in the lobby and it was just so many ppl around from the other parties...i wouldnt like that if i was the bride but thats just me..other than that the place is amazing!

I'm happy to help, if you have any specific questions. We looked at about 20 RHs before finding the Inn, which is right in my backyard, ironically. It had everything we were looking for and the minimum is high, yes. But it was lower for a Friday night, so that is one of the reasons we chose a Friday. Also, MrsC's mention of a lot going on is very true - there is always a lot going on there, but on a Friday they won't have an afternoon wedding and so, hopefully, there won't be too many people lingering around. That doesn't really bother me that much!

PS - other Inn brides - have any of you seen the brick structure they are erecting around the parking lot? I haven't quite figured it out yet, but it looks nice. Not sure what they are doing . . . making it fortress-like? I don't know. I see the place everyday. And I am in love.

Re: The INN

I saw about 10 other places before going to the last one...the Inn...and I fell in love with it from the moment I set foot in there...we loved the decor and how new it all was. If you book there, you can go to a food tasting and if you don't like the food you can get your deposit back. We went for a food tasting and we loved the food....plus we go to every showcase that they have there because I love the place so much and FH loves the food.

My fiance actually drove past the other day and took pictures! hahaha they re did the front and put in a new fountain. Um, did they need that I dunno but he said it looked great! I think everything they do is just so freckin great! So I believe the giant bricks you were seeing is the new fountain. Am I right? haha

We looked at many other places before, but once I walked into the Inn I just knew I had to get married there. We were hoping for a 2010 wedding but they were all booked so we pushed it 2011.
