Does anyone have any information on Blocking rooms? Is it too soon to book now for 11-07? Pricing info? Min?

Re: The Inn at Fox Hollow
I checked into them... they wouldn't go any lower than 200 a room.
I ended up blocking rooms at the Plainview Marriott Residence Inn (great place). They quoted me 139 per room, and I was able to block 20 for the first night and 25 for the second. (the price varies by time of year... I know someone else here booked a bit earlier than I did and it was about 10 bucks more). Good luck!

she's November '07... I don't think they let you book that far in advance... (when I replied before, I actually thought it was November 7th, so I think you may have made the same mistake).

Re: The Inn at Fox Hollow
I did try to block rooms for my sept 2007 wedding. I'm not using them because you have to guarantee 1/2 of the rooms that you block (so if you block 20 rooms your card will get charged for 10 rooms if your guests don't stay in those ten rooms). Also, your guests have to get their rooms 1 month before your wedding date. Here is the worst piece of news - lets say you hold 20 rooms, you need to guarantee 10 rooms. Lets say 5 rooms are booked 1 month before the wedding, you are PAYING for the other 5 rooms REGARDLESS if your guests call to book a room any time less than a month before your wedding...they get your money coming and going...IMO look somewhere else there are plenty in that area - that is what I'm doing. Good luck!

Im going through the blocking of rooms now and my wedding is March of 08. Im also getting rates as they are now, not as they will be in a year. Doesn't hurt to do it early!!
