Does anyone have an opinion about The Inn at New Hyde Park? I was there last week and they are in the process of doing renovations. They said it should be done by Sept. 07 because the owner's son will be getting married then.
Im a little shaky on booking a place without the large room finished (or even started yet).
I was also looking at the MIlleridge Inn both weddings would be around Christmas time.

I have a few pics of Milleridge at Christmas in my Album.
It is BEAUTIFUL!! I am getting married in June '08 but took my parents to see it when we booked in December.
They are a little dark.

You might be able to get a really good deal from the place because you're not able to see the room yet, so they're probably not so in demand with the bookings. It would be a good bargaining chip.

i think the plans for the new renovation are amazing, but i would be sketchy about booking before its done

I looked there and their plans look great but I was very skeptical. I can imagine how dirty my dress would get if they were in the middle of construction during my wedding! It's just that once they have your money, whether construction is done or not, you're still having your wedding there. ps-I'm having my wedding at milleridge and I love it!
