The Inn at New Hyde Park

anyone getting married here? or been to a wedding here?? I have plans to go look at the hall soon and was wondering if anyone had any opinions on it... good AND bad. I heard they redid the whole place so its supposed to be gorgeous, and expensive? not sure? Let me know! thanks ladies!!

its beautiful but way to expensive,,, i was quoted $170 PPfor a sat night in may 2010 with a 250 min thats without any extras... base menu

It is beautiful. But I also got a high quote...$170 for a Friday in Nov. Sat was 208. that all includes tax and tip

i saw the website and the place looked AMAZING. but they didnt have my date available so i didnt even get a chance to look at it or get price quotes :(

I mom had my shower there and everything was perfect!! It is absolutely beautiful and the food and service were great!

i'm getting married there in 247 days!!! the venue is gorgeous, but also very pricey with high minimums on the weekends.

if food is important than i would look into it! their menu is extensive (your guests may choose from 7 entrees on the night of the affair) and the cocktail hour is unbelievable. Their liquor/beer selection is also great since they also run a restaurant on the premises. we went to a tasting with both set of parents and the food was great.

if you have a big bridal party or are looking for a nice bridal suite than i would also suggest the INN. you get a whole wing of the second floor, living room area, dining room area, bar, bathroom. it's just gorgeous.

the decor also stands out as a big plus. everything is brand new, and while attention has been paid to every detailand is pretty dramatic, it still pulls of a neutral feel, so you can run with whatever decor youd like.

they are also working on completing a small bed and breakfast on the site for the bride and groom to stay the night. hopefully it will be done soon.

I went to a shower there during renovations and last year went to an anniversary party there for DH's great aunt and uncle. The place is beautiful!
And my friend is getting married there September 09!

I am an Inn at New Hyde Park bride as well. Yes, they are definetely pricey but the place is beautiful and their menu is phenomenal for a base menu. I am paying a lot more than I expected too also but I also threw in extras so that brings the price up. Food was the first prioirty for my wedding as a lot of our quetss are in the restaurant/food business so we needed a good menu and a place we can trust. We got a good feeling from Linda who we met with there and decided to put our trust in a fairly new place. It is beautiful and they spent so much money on it so I have no doubt they will have great food and service and build an incredible reputation. As a fellow 09 bride said, the bridal suite is stunning and I can't wait to see the new cocktail room. The cocktail room was actually a big selling point for me also because I wanted a large room where EVERYONE could site. I hate standing during cocktail hour and I think that room can often set the tone of teh wedding for me.

Def. check it out! It is worth seeing! IYou can always cut costs in other places if you fall in love!

My sister is getting married there in December on a Friday night. Her and her FH walked in and just fell in love w/ the place. Although its still a bit high pp, its not as bad as other peak seasons. If you have your heart set on it then i would try looking at the 'off season' to bring the price down and guarantee.

I'm getting married there on Friday May 21, 2010..the place is elegant, I fell in love with it. I had a tasting and the food was great also, with a big selection (7 entree choices). I'm not in love with the price. I was quoted $120pp and after tax and all you're looking at about $160pp. However, you are getting a lot for your money when it comes to food and service. That price also includes little extras such as a chocolate fountain, a custom cake, top shelf liqour, pinot grigio water and a bottle of red and white wine on every table, a stay at the Bed and Breakfast, martini ice luge, signature cocktails, and presents for guests at the end of the party for name a few lol.
