The Inn at New Hyde Park or The Royalton at Roslyn County Club?!

The Inn at New Hyde Park or The Royalton at Roslyn County Club?!

Has anyone been to a recent wedding at The Inn at New Hyde Park? It just underwent an amazing renovation. Also any brides that just got married there this past March or April?

I am deciding between The Inn and The Royalton at The Roslyn Country Club. Anyone been there?

The Royalton is more money and I'm trying to figure out if it's worth the extra price.

Thanks and I appreciate any and all help.

Hi Lisa - welcome. This is a tough question. I was at a wedding at the Royalton this past December and raved about it afterward. The place is very charming, the food was great, our waiter was professional, and it was just a great time. FH and I both really liked it, and would have considered it a potential RH, had his cousin not just gotten married there!

We did end up booking at the Inn. We are pleased with our choice. We feel that we are getting a lot for the money, including a BRAND NEW ballroom and really unique, large, CH room. The bridal suite is also amazing. We liked that at the Inn there are two large granite bars at either side of the room for our guests, rather than having them leave the ballroom for a drink, should they wish to serve themselves. We liked all of the dinner options and that our guests have 7 entrees to choose from, we don't have to make that selection. The tasting was great and the people we have dealt with there have been consistently amazing. Also, one last thing we preferred at the Inn over so many other RHs is that there is an actual space for early guests to wait, where they will be served drinks and we are also having a piano player an hour before the CH even starts. So far I can't say enough great things about the Inn. I guess it is really dependent upon your own tastes and these are just my own opinions, of course!

If you don't mind, I'd be curious to know the difference in price at both places, if you could FM me. . . HTH!

I'm surprised to hear that the Royalton (where I'm getting married) is more than the Inn. When I looked into the Inn for my time they were quoting like $175 pp++ with a 150 person minimum. I personally think they are very different places, and it just depends what you like better! I'm very happy with our choice at the Royalton. Here's a link to my menu selection which we just did last week. They can do soooo much more! Good luck! Menu Selection

Allegra - I wanted to add that the Chilean Sea Bass was amazing! I think FH's father said it was the best food he had ever had at a wedding! It was so good!!

soo funny how you are having this dilemma.. because I had the same problem.. these were the only 2 places I looked at and i fell in love with both.. I couldnt decide so I left it up to my FH and he said he loved the inn a little more.. cause they offered a little more and looved the overall feel of the place.. I totally was happy with the decision.. never looked back.. although still wonder about the Royalton and cant wait to attend a wedding there. they are 2 beautiful halls..cant go wrong with either!!:) good luck!!!

I agree with the other girls that theyre both great places but different so it will probably have to be a decision on which suits you best. I was deciding between Caryle on the Green (also a larger venue like the Inn) and the Royalton and I went with the Royalton because it has a more intimate feel and because the menu and entire event is customized to the particular couple. I'm also a summer bride and I fell in love with the Royalton's garden area. Think about it and go with your gut. You can't go wrong. Good luck!

I never went to the Inn but I did see the The Royalton and I think it is more money bc the venue has one event at one time. While The Inn has one wedding, they do have tons of other parties going on. I would def rather have it at a place with one event.

YUM!! We had it at our tasting!!! It was like a steak almost, so meaty and just delicious. I forgot to add that FH and I get one of each entree to sample at our table!! So excited!

I think the inn is amazing..food / beauty /attention to detail. You definetly can't go wrong. I also want to add that it's not very big so you will still have an intimate feeling.

I went to a wedding at the Inn Thanksgiving weekend and the food was some of the best I've had at a wedding/reception hall. The service was outstanding as well. The CH room is not my style, but everyone at the wedding had a great time, my cousin just booked there for next August. Your guests won't leave disappointed, and if you like the space, I would go for it!

I can't comment on the Royalton, because I have not been there, but I have heard nothing but great things!

I think the Royalton is worth every penny, because you're not only the main attraction the day of, you're the only attraction, no distractions! If you like it that much call them and maybe they'll work with you!
