I went today to The Inn at New Hyde Park to make a deposit payment and it looks great!
It is really coming along!
The hallways were redone, the bridal suite is done, the main entrance is framed out and the ceiling inside is amazing. The main ballroom is huge! They are installing the AC system while we were there.
Definitely looks like it will be done for my Jan. 08 wedding!

So did anyone else who went to the Inn At New Hyde Park take photos of the construction for the rest of us to see?
You 2008 brides will have no problems with construction. The entire location is contracted to be completed by September 1st. The gardens in the back will be completed by some time in August, and they will be able to used prior to September 1st.
If you go there and just talk to any of the banquet managers, we have no problem giving you a full walking tour of the location, and tell you any of the completion dates you need.
Also, the new direction cards will be in on Wednesday, but they are being given out to the 2007 brides first.

i'll try and remember to bring my camera when i go...i passed by 3 weeks ago and it looks like it's really coming along...that's great that the gardens will be finished by sept. 1st too...i'm assuming the 'bed and breakfast' won't be finished anytime soon, right? the house looked like it hadn't been touched yet unless someone else knows otherwise...and what's up with that little house w/ the older woman living in it on the property? i never saw her before...did she not want to sell to them or something? it just seems so weird that they are building everything around her house...
