The Knot Guest List vent. . .

Does anyone else use this? I didn't like it much in the first place but I used it anyway, was used to the layout . . . So today it asks me if I want to upgrade to the new system. I (stupidly) accepted and I hate it! It's tallying up my guest # all crazy, only counting people with actual names (I'm assuming? ) and not including 'guests' in my head count. This is so obnoxious! Also, the layout is driving me crazy. Ok, vent over. Anyone else experiencing this?

Nope, that's why I made my own in Excel.

I don't have excel and I have no clue how to use it even if I did LOL. I am not very computer savy since I don't use one for work except to look up values.

I use Excel for everything. Easier to manage

i use excel too. it's really easy. just a grid where you type (if you don't want to mess with anything too computer-y)

But I did SUM the numbers i put in (easy) and sort (FH showed me how... he still does it differently, but oh well)

I tried their gust list thingie a few times but it coudnlt handle the fact that my family has multiples of the same names (there's like 4 pauls and 5 Franks all with the same last name!). It also kept kicking me out w/o saving it. I gave up after the 3rd attempt!

I started to use it, but it's much easier to use Excel. You can track anything you want to in there.

I don´t know if you want to go through the hassle of inputting all your info somewhere else but I did mine on weddingwire.com and LOVE it!!

Its really easy to use. You put your guest in groups (by everyone who would be on one invite or rsvp). So you can search by group, by person, even by gift. (for instance I wanted to remember who gave me a certain gift at my shower and I went in and did a search by gift.

You can 'invite' each person to Bridal Shower, Rehersal Dinner, Reception or make your own. Plus their Seating chart is AMAZING!!

You can actually input the dimensions of you room and the dimensions of the tables. You can choose the shape of the tables. Then you just click on a name from the list on the side click on a table and they´re automatically seated. And anytime you make changes (in my case if I erased someone or someone rsvpd no) they get automatically deleated from your seating chart.

Sorry I´m going on and on. But I was just using it and I get soooo excited!!!!
