The last 5 days were THE WORST!! long
So, I came home from work Friday, not feeling well, and having to take the PRAXIS (PA state ed. test) Saturday morning. FH's sister graduated college in Baltimore, so, I was set to take the test in MD, we wound up not leaving PA until 5am Saturday morning, for an 8am test because I was throwing up. The test was SO HARD... ugh.
I had 2 cavities refilled 2 weeks ago, and they had been sore, Saturday, the pain became unbearable. I took codene, it did nothing. Sunday, I took Percocet, which helped a little, and then Monday morning I called in sick and went to the dentist. He couldn't fit me in for a root canal, all he could do was numb me, and give me hydrocodone (vicodin, I think). I took one, and went to lie down. I woke up a while later with the worst migraine of my life. After about 2 hours of this pain, and several trips to the bathroom to vomit uncontrollably, I went to the ER. I explained my situation, they got me in a room, and the dr. came in and wanted to give me a spinal tap! He said it could be bleeding in the brain. With that, I freaked out, and asked if there was anything else he could do. He said he could give me medicine IV, IM or by mouth. He wound up giving me 2 shots, 1 for the headache and 1 for nausea. The next thing I knew, it was over an hour later, I woke up, and the pain was gone.
So, yesterday, I called in sick again, went back to the dentist, and he started the root canal. I have to go back next week for him to finish it.
This was the worst experience and the worst pain of my life.
I highly HIGHLY suggest NEVER ignoring tooth pain, believe me, it only gets worse, to the point where your entire face, ear and head are throbbing.
I finally went back to work today, feeling semi-normal.
Plus, I missed my liweddings!!!![]()
