the latest work drama

So this lady comes in my store to return a worn bag because the strap is kind of tearing. I told her bc its worn i can only give merch credit or exchange...not good enough. I give her customer services number, she calls even puts me on with them and customer service backs me up and tells the customer exactly what i said and what we can offer. she still wants cash...even though she didn't pay using cash. I track the bag down and tell her if i process the return for a merch credit i can call the merch credit numbers to the store that has the bag ...have them use it to purchase a new one and they will waive the shipping...not good enough...even though she just finished saying she either wants the same bag or her money back. I am midway through explaining to her what i can do to assist her and she turns around and crosses her arms...I'm still talking when i realize she's purposely turned her back on me so I'm like 'you know, maam I'm doing every thing i can within company policy to assist you but I refuse to speak to your back...when you're ready I'll let you know what I can do for you.' she says '***** don't act like you're doing me a favor, yall are pissing me off. I'm not leaving til I get my cash back. so now i tell her for calling me a ***** she can leave my store or I'm calling security. she refuses to leave until she gets her cash so i get security on the phone and she says 'I'm coming back with my friends, you messed with the wrong one, I'll be back' so i tell her if she ever sets foot in my store I'll call the cops...

security heard all of this...and never came! the cop i called to file a report incase this wackadoo ever comes back tells me he can't file a report because she didn't actually threaten me physically she simply eluded to something. AND FH said he'd be there to pick me up on time to make sure I'd be safe...so why did I end up waiting 20 extra minutes for him to come because he fell asleep.

I am just so annoyed and fed up. I know I need a new job but I don't even have the time to find one lately.

That woman sounds like a lowlife and a nutcase and her threats are probably empty. I know it wont stop you from worrying though. Sorry you had to deal with that. I have to deal with people too and I know how hard it can be. FH should have been there when he said he would but you know how they are. And you should complain to someone about security not showing up. Theyre getting paid to protect people and they didnt even show up. Thats bull. I doubt the woman is coming back though. Dont let that miserable wench upset you.

Oh I hate those customers! I work in retail too and I have to deal with them allll the time. They're never satisfied!

You should have thrown a shoe at her head. Not if you wanted to keep your job though! I would have been so tempted.

Its kind of like those customers who come to my restaurant, eat 3/4 of their plate and then say they hated it and want it taken off the bill.
