I totally agree! I thought about a 2nd level on the LIE a few years ago! It's only getting worse.

DH thinks they should build a monorail, like the one in Disney! Not such a bad idea......

Makes me glad I work at home and my commute involves one flight of stairs, and avoiding the lure of more fun things to do.

I rarely take it anymore, now that I am on south shore, but if I need to go up there, I'd rather take sunrise, then take another road north, rather than sitting bumber to bumper

FH says that all the time. That they should build uppper and lower level to the LIE. I hate that expressway It's a parking lot 24/7

DH commutes to nassau and keeps saying the traffic is getting worse and worse and that there is no such thing as a reverse commute anymore.

OMG - I used to drive from Selden to Hicksville and it ****ed. No matter when or which way you were going it was always packed. There were bad weather days that it took 3-4 hrs to get home!
