Re: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe
I read the ENTIRE Flowers in the Attic series!! Holy cow, I was such a bookworm (still am, I guess!) Those were GREAT books... although when VC Andrews died, and someone kept writing for her to finish the series, I thought it was really obvious that it wasn't her. I remember crying SOOO hard reading those books... especially the one when the daughter marries the ballet dancer guy, and... (well I dont want to ruin it for anyone who hasnt read it...) My favorite one of all was the 'prequel' to Flowers... I forget what it was called?
Wow, that brings me back!

YES! It explained why the Grandmother was so evil. I think I'm going to have to read them again too!
I just bought 'Watership Down' a few days ago... that was another one of my favorite childhood books. OK, I don't want to be at work anymore, I want to go home and read!

My parents have been begging me to read Watership Down for years! I have it at home. This is the book with the rabbits - right?

Re: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe
I am on book 6 of the Narnia series and I love each book. It is a thought-provoking story that always makes me think about it for days after I have completed it. Yes, this can be read by children but as an adult you see all of the religious undertones and political/social commentary.

I recently read the whole series- they sell it all in one book. They are great!
