the little things

I am a big DIYer...and whenever I make a gift for someone, I always tap into their interests. For example, for my FSIL's bridal shower, I made one of those candle poem baskets because she LOVES candles. I gave out luggage tag favors b/c they are having a wedding out of state. My other FSIL just had a baby. So, I made her a diaper cake. I added this plush soccer ball rattle as the topper b/c she is a huge soccer fan. I found socks that had soccer balls on them, too.

Guests want to walk into the room and see the guest(s) of honor's personality/interests shine throughout the hall. Think of what is important to you and FH. FH and I love wine. His father makes his own wine. So, we are going to have a wine theme. I am going to make a wine barrel card box. Guests will have cork placecard holders. And we are giving out bottles of wine as favors.

I came up with all my DIYs based on what the awesome brides on this site did!! My DIY projects included my guest book, unity candle and tapers, card box, placecards, table numbers, and cake topper. I just did everything around my theme (pink seashell). A lot of brides do their own menus, invites, and aisle runners too!! If you need anything or help at all, just post or FM one of us and we will be happy to help you !!

i got most of my materials from paper presentation (theres a store in the city but u can also buy online from www.paperpresentation.com ) they have tons of nice cardstock u can get to make programs and menus from

you have such great ideas... i cant really think of a theme/colors/anything for my wedding!!! idk why but this is hard for me!! im usually crafty!
