The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers: some questions
Any fans out there?
I was just wondering if someone could explain to me why Peter Jackson strayed so much from the book? I don't remember elves at Helm's deep, or Frodo going with Faramir.
Re: The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers: some questions
frodo didn't go with Faramir to Gondor in the book...and I hated that he did that in the movie...but I think it was to show how Faramir was consumed by the ring (like his brother) and the relationship with his father...which would have been hard to show in the cave (my guess)...
have you seen the extended version? it has a lot more scenes that I thought were missing...
I don't remember whether or not the elves went to helms deep (the battle in the book was not as long as in the movie)...but I would have to go back and check...I want to assume they did...only b/c there would be no way that Rohin could win without them,...and that shows how powerful Sarumon and Sauron are/were...
Jackson also took a lot of things from the appendixes...like the whole Aragorn and Arwin love story...I also heard that he is opening Return of the King with Smeagle and his brother right before they found the ring...
