The man likes to call during the day

And it's sweet. It really is. But he calls me to tell me the weirdest stuff.

Like, 'I'm not going to study on campus, I'm going to study at John's house.'

Yeah? Oh, so wait, either way I'm not going to see you until 11? Dude, you have a cell. Why do you tell me your every move when I can just call you when I need you?

Then it's, 'I didn't eat yet today. I'm starving.'

Umm, so go eat. I'm not going to come home from work and bring a sandwich to school for you.

To which I must respond 'YEAH'

I can't call him at work, because 'I can't talk on the steel'

We never call each other. We IM during the day - if there is something to be said. He texts me when to pick him up, etc. I don't even know his work number.

I think we phoned ourselves our in our teen years. I can't tell you how many times we feel asleep on the phone with eachother. We would talk all night long. About what, I have no idea. Apparently it wasn't too interesting, since we fell asleep so often.

Marlo - I would love to overhear that.

OMG. so true...and so eerily similar.

we talked for HOURS on end in the first years, now it's email/text messages.

sometimes I call him if I get tired of typing

but the rare during the day phone calls are a nice treat. a blast from the past.

Awww- I htink that's sweet- he is trying to connect with you for no reason, since you guys never see each other!
Victor and I speak on the phone at the same times every day.
12 PM to discuss whether I am coming home for lunch- quick call.
3PM- when he gets to work, but has time to kill- we discuss daily things- catch up, etc- long talk- 15 minutes or so.
9 or 9:30- for afew minutes just too see what I'm doing.
11PM- to let me know whether he is staying late for OT.

Wow- thats a lot.

We don't really talk on the phone too much since we work AND live together. If he needs to share something he'll visit me and vice versa.

Sometimes at night I'll get a quick 'can you do me a favor phone call'. We talked via phone more when we first started dating, sounds pretty common around here.

i think it's really sweet that he 'checks in' periodically through the day especially since you don't get to see much of each other.

Kenny and I don't talk to each other during the day, it's kinda hard since he's a contractor so he doesn't really have an office. though, when he's off he'll call me. that's when i know he's bored.

I have the opposite situation. The only time DH and I get away from each other is during our workday. We work 5 minutes from each other so we drive to and from work together.

In the morning, we almost don't talk at all, for a half an hour. And we don't listen to the radio either most of the time. So it's complete silence for 30 minutes.

You can imagine how much I hate my coworkers when they invade that kind of morning quiet.

Mine does this, too!!!!!!!!!

I do it back occasionally...he gets the point [temporarily].

So BM leaves message on the voicemail at 5:45AM to say he loves me.
