The man's reaction to my VM saying 'I'm gonna dye my hair brown'....
Was really surprising.
I really upset him. He came home with one of our friends and greeted me with, 'If you go brown, then you're sleeping on the couch.'
So in front of one of our friends, we had this discussion. He kept saying, 'I married a blonde. I like you as a blonde.' Clearly for some reason, it's important that he has a blonde wife and cannot articulate as to WHY it's such a big deal.
Boys are afraid of change. The man is the afraidest apparently.
I'm not dyeing it though - NOT because of him but because my friend finally told me years later that I didn't look good as a brunette. That and I know that the growing out process will kill me.

Men. They always pick the best time to get all possessive and bossy. Especially in front of friends. LOL
I happen to agree though. I think you look great as a blonde and I wouldn't change it. Maybe you can add some low lights to darken it slightly?

I don't think you 'need' a change either but if you really want a change, can you get low-lights like Kat said? (I didn't know there was such a thing...)
Then it's not so drastic the man will still be able to say he has a blond wife.

I know, I missed a lot of this, but would you do a semi-permanent color? You get to be brunette for about 28 days. I did that once and it got the desire to be brunette out of my system. It didn't look good with my skin coloring. Maybe a different tone would have looked good but I lost interest and went back to blonde.
