Does anyone know approximately how much it costs to eat there? We were thinking of going there for my bachelorette party. There would be about 8 of us. TIA!

Re: The Melting Pot
My sister went and she said was like $60pp but they had some 4 course meal with wine. She said the fondue was the best but actual meal was a waste of money and not that great. If you sign up for emails they send you coupons all the time

Re: The Melting Pot
The price varies and it seems to be based on price per couple. The big night out includes the cheese fondue, salad, entre and chocolate fondue. It varies from $82 per - 96 per couple. That doesnt even include drinks which are crazy expensive. But I think the price is somewhat worth it! www.themeltingpot.com

Its about $50-60 pp depending on if you get drinks it can be more...
The best part by far is the desert!

Re: The Melting Pot
We are actually doing this for my sister's bachelorette party. The 4 course dinner for 10 or more people is $42 pp, that is for the most basic menu. You can choose from three different set menus that each have different entree choices (chicken, beef, lobster, shrimp, etc). But each one comes with a cheese fondue (you pick the flavor), a salad, an entree fondue (price can vary depending on which cooking style you choose) and a dessert fondue (you pick again). Drinks aren't included in this AT ALL, but they do have bar options for parties of 12 or more. HTH!!
ETA you can go to their website and download the catering menu for your options!

Not sure how much you'll spend, but don't do the dinner part. I would just go for the cheese fondue, maybe a salad and the dessert. Honestly the main course is so not worth it. Drinks are expensive, but that's where I'd put my money. Have fun!

Re: The Melting Pot
FH and I went there for the first time the other night and it was amazing! We did the big night out for $96 but it was b/c it was our first time. For a bachelorette party, I'd say do cheese and chocolate. But I think that's a GREAT idea!

Re: The Melting Pot
I love the Melting Pot....it's my fave restaurant Great idea for your bachelorette party. I agree just do the cheese and choc, maybe a salad though...the four courses are a LOT of food if you want to go out partying afterwards

That is accurate, we went for my Bachelor party, I didn't pay for myself but it was about 75.00 per girl with drinks and tip.

Re: The Melting Pot
We went this past weekend with another couple...2 drinks per person and we each got a 4 course meal thing...Ended up being about $175 per couple (including tip)
I definately think its expensive for a bach party...but if you really want to go there then I suggest only doing the cheese fondue and dessert fondue. The main meal isnt really worth it. Also expect to be there for a while, its kinda a slow moving meal if you know what I mean...

Re: The Melting Pot
i dont know how far you are from queens but there is a new fondu place that opened in atlas park and it has amazing food! i have been going to the melting pot as a family tradition since i was about 4 yrs old and this place by far beats it. it was also a quarter of the price. the fixed meal for vegetarians (im a vegetarian) was $28 and meat was $38 it is a 4 course meal.

I agree, ive been to melting pot quite a few times but went to the new one at atlas park called simply fondue and liked it much better, but they also have a simply fondue in LI now too.
If you do the big night out thing its $48 per person for all 4 courses. The reason i like simply fondue better is bc when i used to go to melting pot, i never cared for the main entree part, it wasnt that good. At simply fondue i actually look forward to it bc its real real good, and their reeses peanut butter fondue is alot better than the peanut butter fondue at melting pot. Cheese however i like better at melting pot bc they have a spinach and cheese one which i love and simply fondue doesnt have a spinach one but their cheese fondue is still good.

Re: The Melting Pot
I would skip the dinner...and just do cheese and chocolate. I didnt think the dinner was that good. Everything ends up tasting like the broth...so it all tastes the same. Just my opinion.
I went with a few friends...think we paid 40-50 pp

We actually enjoyed the cheese fondue and the dinner one done in the wine (not broth). We never made it to dessert because we were stuffed and we still had to pay for it b/c we had chosen the 4 course meal for 2 to start with! They wouldn't even package anything of the dessert for us to take home.
I would agree to not do the meal thing, just order a few types of cheese fondues and either dinner or dessert fondues. the amt to order depends on the amt of people but 2 pots of each course are good for 6 people.
