Hi ladies, Could any of you give me feed back on the Metropolitan (good, bad or indifferent). It doesn't seem as if very many people are getting married here. I was just wondering if there was any reason in particular.
TIA

Re: The Metropolitan
I looked at the Metropolitan and thought it was nice. It has a nice lounge/club type atmosphere. However, my main problem was that I wanted an outdoor space and natural light. They didn't have either. I also didn't like that they had the cocktail hour on an upper level and had no handicapped access to it (they did say they would set up a table downstairs with a waiter for anyone who couldn't handle the stairs, but I wouldn't want to isolate guests like that).

Re: The Metropolitan
I'm getting married at The Metropolitan in May So far, I am SO happy with my decision and I think it's gorgeous. Food is amazing (we went to a tasting), Eileen (our contact) is excellent & is very knowledgeable & responsive & LOVE the vibe of the place. We are not using the upstairs b/c we are not having our ceremony there (so using the room on the right for cocktail - upstairs will be open with some small tables, but that's it). There is only the small outdoor patio- but Morgan Park is nearby & is where we are going for pics...
There are some recent reviews on the Review Board of other brides at The Metropolitan. Feel free to FM me with any questions!!
