The Miller Place Inn
My sister got married at the Miller Place Inn 10 years ago and I went to look at it for my wedding last week. It was just as nice but I was informed that there were new owners. Has anyone been to an affair there in the past 6 months? I am very curious since the price seemed to have gone down a bit since her wedding. I would really appreciate it!

Re: The Miller Place Inn
I had my first wedding there, in 1995, and everything (except the husband
) was great. I was at my cousins wedding there about 8 months ago, and was also told that there were new owners. It was still good, but definately not as good as it used to be. Cocktail hr. food was great, entrees were just OK, and service wasn't so great.

Re: The Miller Place Inn
Oh wow - went to a wedding there a year ago and it was great. Haven't been there under the new owners. If Chef Armand is still the chef there you will have nothing to worry about. I took a cooking class with him and his food is unreal (and I'm picky).
If you are concerned about food and price I'd try the watermill or majestic gardens. Been to weddings at each the past few months and both were really nice.
Good luck!

Re: The Miller Place Inn
We were thisclose to booking them for our wedding - we loved working with the guy in charge over there - his name is Rory. He came over from the Carltun so is extremely service oriented. He made a point of showing us the new fixtures, the new carpets, the new paint, etc. We were very, very close to booking with them until we stumbled across JOhn Anthony's, which was on the water and a water reception was our first choice. I say give them a serious hard look - I liked them very much.Welcome New Vendors
