we are hoping to break even and then use it towards a house or hopefully pay off some of the house we will own by then!

Re: The money you make from the wedding...
i'd be happy just to cover our costs - or replenish what we're not saving right now for general purposes.
ETA - costs of the wedding, that is.

Any money we get from the wedding will pay off FI's bills. Then we will start saving for a house.

Re: The money you make from the wedding...
We're paying for our wedding in cash, so all the cash gifts will be placed in our newlywed joint savings account and will go towards the house...since I've been living with FH for the past 4 years, we are only registering for a few things and all other gifts will hopefully be cash as well...ooohhh I like the sound of that word 'CASSSHHHHH'

I have a savings account with ingdirect.com I love this account. I got $25 when I opened it and the interest rate is over 3%! It is all done on the internet but it is very convenient.

No...I am hoping to at least break even in what we spend but I am also hoping to have my whole wedding paid off by the day of my wedding, not a penny due to anybody! So any $$ we receive would go towards a house...
