How many of you are finding it difficult to stay within or near your original wedding budget??? I feel like once I fall in love with something I'm never going to want to settle for anything less...

I didn't really make a budget as careless as that may sound..I just told myself that I would spend as little as possible on everything...so I just do a LOT of research on all of the vendors I book and so far, i've gotten what I think are the best vendors when you look at the quality of their service and their price...LIW has been really helping me find great vendors..

I didn't make a budget either. I have been managing to track down vendors that would give me what I was looking for at what I felt was a reasonable price. The only place (at this point anyway) I think I might have gone over was with my photographer, but I was able to work out payments with him so it wasn't as much of a burden.

honestly i didn't really make a budget either, b/c i've never planned a wedding before so i had no clue as to what things cost. as i started meeting with vendors (mostly LIW vendors) i was able to get an idea as to where our budget range should be. but as things get booked, i am calling it a budget range only b/c if i go over a set # i think that will stress me out. so i give myself a cushion.

Re: The most difficult part...
I have an 'idea' in my head what I want to spend/what I think I should spend. So far I'm still under that after RH, photo/video and DJ. I still have a nice amount left, so hopefully I won't go too overboard with the rest of the stuff I need!! It can be difficult though if you don't shop around and know what you're doing!

I understand, it is very hard, For us the bottom line is we don't have it, and $ is not going to just pop out of thin air. I just ask myself how important and how much of a difference will it really make if I have something or not.
