I think its more the colors you use than the type of flower - I'd go with yellows and greens

I agree with the Daisies, possibly Gerber Daisies b/c they're much larger. I saw a wedding review in the Bride's Review by 'Petey'sBride' (I believe that's the name) and it was so beautiful. totally screamed out summer and so colorful.

I was going to say gerber daisies also... those always have the brightest colors.

Re: The Most Summery Flower
This is not a great pic..but this was my flowers for my cousins wedding in June. I thought they screamed summer! I might be able to get you a better pic if you are interested. I believe my mom took a pic of just them on her camera.
I love gerbers. A really good friend used them in her June wedding a few years back and they looked so vibrant and lovely

Re: The Most Summery Flower
Gerber daisy are a great choice not only for the virbrant colors, varied color choices, but they hold up very well in the heat. I also biased as this is my favorite flower along with calla lily .

Gerbers! Heh everyone knows I LOVE my gerbers. They're pretty hardy as far as wilting but if you use them in boquets, make sure your florist uses REALLY fresh ones because they are top heavy and snap easily if they havent been properly cared for-they get brttile on the inside.
I really loved our colors cause they screwamed fun but pink and orange in anythign look fun. I love pink and orange roses.
Peonies are pretty but they dont last well and they're EXPENSIVE.
