I think its supposed to be your last name/his last name.
I've never heard of it going the other way around, but hey, do whatever feels right to you~

I'm not going for the suppose to, I'm doing what sounds better. I really don't care about tradition. lol

I personally, would only have one name, I just think to always say Centrella-Malatesta or vice versa is a mouth full! Thats JMO!

Your choices are a little difficult on the tongue. I would take his last name. I am taking my FH's last name and adding my maiden name as a second middle name so I will be:
Leslie Allison C**** S********
with no hyphen. I can use any combinations of the middle names as I see fit but my last name will be the same as his. I just have to make sure I do the name change legally. Its one thing to add a surname and it is another thing to add or change a middle name.

I agree...it reminds me of the episode of Friends with Phoebe's long a$$ name. Just pick one whether it's your own or you take his....both sound great.

If you were spanish, you would be doing something completely different!!
IN spanish tradition, you add your mother's maiden name to your last name (and this is before you get married!)
After you get married, I forget how it goes, but I think it's your last name, mother's maiden, FH's last name.
Now you know why sometimes spanish names are so long!!!
Choose whatever name feels right to you, but remember, you are going to have to sign it a lot, do you want to get a muscle cramp in your hand everytime you have to sign your name??![]()
