The New NOTW is....

Well, now its time to get this NOTW boat going again.

The next NOTW (nominated by many other LIW'ers, not just myself) is a girl who deserves this.
She is always on here (and will stay on LIW 06 board till the end).
She's always there to send us
Her sense of humor is great
She was a blast at TWOTY
She's somebody who will carry the torch to the fulliest and is proud to be a newlywed

I say let's go with this idea - and then btw the 2 nominated girls, whomever posts first next week about nominating the next NOTW will continue with the tradition without mocking an idea that so many of us have come to cherish on the '06 Board.

I'm not mocking the idea.

but I think sending someone fm's and calling them out when they are in the first days of a brand new job is a bit MUCH for something that is supposed to be fun.

and since Chrissy is my friend, I reserve the right to poke fun at HER...if you chose to take it personally, there is nothing I can do about that.

I wasn't mocking it at all. It's a joke - I didn't realize that the '06 board turned into such a 'serious' bunch. I'm sure everyone has gotten to a certain comfort zone on the site by now, so why not try to lighten up the mood.

I did pass the crown along fair and square, and if there is a committee of some sort that's 'monitoring' what's going on - I apologize but I was not aware of the rules.

There is no secret Committee - but how are we honestly able to tell when someone is joking around here when it's an online chat room - esp. from people who don't regularly post on the '06 board anymore, or from people we don't really know outside the Boards. So, when some of us saw that Chrissy resigned - we didn't want the NOTW idea to stop dead, so we nominated someone who we felt deserved some recognition. Then, the resignation is rebuttled and another '06 bride is nominated - some of us will take defensive action to that.

But it's all dead now that Marzena resigned, so Dom n Nic can hold the NOTW crown!

So how about this as a compromise:

For the 'record' Dom n Nic will be the NOTW for this week since that's who Chris chose and that's how it's always worked.

Then next week Dom n Nic will choose the next NOTW, as keeping with 'tradition'. If she doesn't then Meniasta will take over as NOTW next week.

Fair??

Seriously, this isn't worth all of the drama. I think there was a misunderstanding, as Betsy said. It sounded like Chrissy resigned, pure and simple. She has since said she didn't, that it was a joke. So it is what it is. I hate that Meniasta was hurt in the middle of all of this but she was the bigger person and resigned to avoid more drama. I respect that and I think that should be the end of it.
